Pure Negativity is the first single from Localles’ upcoming EP, ‘Standing On Thin Air’. It is about how the messages we receive in our lives through our culture, politics and advertising are often innately negative. It’s about trying to remind everyone that despite this, humans as a whole are inherently positive. It is a reminder that although it is easy to slip into negative thinking and actions, it is so much more productive and empowering to reflect on the positives and utililse this as our power. It is a song about the power of positive thinking.

The film clip for Pure Negativity was recorded during the COVID-19 lockdown of April/May 2020 – another curveball that life had thrown this time not only to Localles, but the wider music community and the global community as a whole. Everybody has been navigating their way through this unprecedented global pandemic as best they can – a notion that was not lost on Localles when making this clip.

Instead of admitting defeat at life’s latest obstacle, Localles decided to adapt and navigate through this unique lockdown situation by recording footage separately at each individual band member’s respective homes and combining this to create the film clip. This light-hearted video perfectly sums up the essence of the song, Pure Negativity – the resilience and inherent positive nature that humans can muster despite the negativity that may surround them.
