about

So Wasted is the third single from Localles’ upcoming EP, ‘Standing On Thin Air’. Clocking in at just over two and a half minutes, So Wasted wastes no time getting straight into it - swiftly ascending towards the apex of the song; leaving the listener hanging at this peak wanting more.

So Wasted is the first song released by Localles primarily written by bass player Paul. The journey of So Wasted began in his teenage years as a cheesy, half-written acoustic love song. A few years later, Paul decided that the subject matter and the bare bones of the song had potential and were worth developing further (whilst retaining some remnants of the original lyrics for posterity).

Fast forward a few more years and So Wasted was taken to the studio and moulded into its final form with the help of the other members of Localles, exciting and upcoming engineer/producer Greg Rietwyk (Press Club, Neighbourhood Youth, The Pretty Littles) and the Grammy-nominated Andrei Eremin (mastering).

So Wasted is brimming with the angst, confusion and intense feeling of your teenage years delivered by the awareness and experience of the older self.

Keep an eye out for the accompanying film clip for So Wasted also dropping in the not too distant future. The clip was shot, edited and produced by the band themselves following the first of their Covid 19-related gig cancellations in March 2020.
